Specific initiatives within the network include a game-based learning forum that will bring teachers together with game developers to explore best practices and further the discussion -- and the field.

 Being a student you have to have access to many program in order to effectively do work. The most common program is Microsoft word. Although I’ve had my fair share of using Microsoft word I have grown more accustomed to using Google Docs. Microsoft office is a program you have to pay for, and although it’s free for students, google docs has always been free. All you have to do is have a Gmail account and you have access to docs, slides and sheets.  Lastly, I have always found google docs to be more simple and straight forward to use than Microsoft word. Yet at the end of the day everyone has their own preference.  ISTE standards are standards that provide a road map to helping students become empowered learners.  Hello everyone, my name is Angel. I am a sociology major at Florida State and I am taking EME 2040 to complete my credit hours for my Minor in education. I had transferred into FSU from BC . I came in with  excess credits that when I had accidentally picked up two education courses I was eminently enrolled in the education minor program. Although I find the whole situation funny it has opened me up to a pathway I didn’t think I would be interested in. Within my own field of sociology and psychology having an education background furthers my study and has allowed me to learn more about the education field even in sociological perspective.  As we all know technology is becoming more innovated as we move forward in the world but technology has become more and more common within educational settings.  When working on assignment three, which was to create a web design, I’d like to think I gained a few new skills. I learned how to create a website which would be important, not only for a teaching field, but in any field you decide to choose as a career path. I hadn’t realize the types of options I had, such as a portfolio or blog. I enjoyed how creative I could be with this assignment while also doing what was required, but also putting my own touches to it. What I didn’t realize was how tedious this task was. I had everything planned out, but trying to figure everything out took me more time than I expected. Although it was difficult at times, I never let it discourage me. I knew that if I did this, even if I messed up at times, I was here to learn.
