 A schools website would have a page dedicated to the overall school and specific teacher but sometimes it requires that the teacher maintain a class page on the schools website. For the requirement on blog seven, I had chosen my own elementary school to look at their website and evaluate. The schools name is Panther Run Elementary and it is a K-5 school in the Broward County district. Looking through their website it shows just about everything you need to know. Where there is access to quick links that are commonly used such as payments, school calendar, and contact information. There is also a drop-down menu that shows more links, one of the links being information for students and parents specifically, and has just about everything a student and a parent would need in order to get the answers they needed. On the main page they also have school news and upcoming events. Because I have background information and experience on this school, I know that the website has changed very much over the years. It is not the same as when I went to school there, but it has become a lot better and more efficient. 

When I envision myself in my hypothetical classroom and teaching profession I see that technology will be a component of my class. Mainly because technology has evolved and incorporated itself in the education field but also because of the many opportunities it can provide to students and myself. I hope to incorporate the use of laptops or tablets to allow my students to have independent learning time. I even hope that this independent learning will allow students to participate in group discussions on what they learn solo and what they learn as a group. I also hope to have technology to help me as well to plan lessons and be more creative. I love using canva so far in this class because it allows me to be more creative with some of the assignments while also learning how to use it overall. 

As mentioned above, I have a new found love for Canva. Using it for assignment 2 wasn’t as easy because of this class being online it makes communicating more difficult sometimes. I know this program would be easier to use for an in person group when needed. With my own experience with this assignment I will know how to navigate/integrate it within my own classroom so it can be used more effectively.

 Being a student you have to have access to many program in order to effectively do work. The most common program is Microsoft word. Although I’ve had my fair share of using Microsoft word I have grown more accustomed to using Google Docs. Microsoft office is a program you have to pay for, and although it’s free for students, google docs has always been free. All you have to do is have a Gmail account and you have access to docs, slides and sheets.  Lastly, I have always found google docs to be more simple and straight forward to use than Microsoft word. Yet at the end of the day everyone has their own preference.  ISTE standards are standards that provide a road map to helping students become empowered learners.  Hello everyone, my name is Angel. I am a sociology major at Florida State and I am taking EME 2040 to complete my credit hours for my Minor in education. I had transferred into FSU from BC . I came in with  excess credits that when I had accidentally picked up two education courses I was eminently enrolled in the education minor program. Although I find the whole situation funny it has opened me up to a pathway I didn’t think I would be interested in. Blog 8

 When working on assignment three, which was to create a web design, I’d like to think I gained a few new skills. I learned how to create a website which would be important, not only for a teaching field, but in any field you decide to choose as a career path. I hadn’t realize the types of options I had, such as a portfolio or blog. I enjoyed how creative I could be with this assignment while also doing what was required, but also putting my own touches to it. What I didn’t realize was how tedious this task was. I had everything planned out, but trying to figure everything out took me more time than I expected. Although it was difficult at times, I never let it discourage me. I knew that if I did this, even if I messed up at times, I was here to learn.
